Ready, set, MOVE!

Incorporating more exercise into your daily routine doesn't have to be daunting. Here are three tips to help you move more:

  1. Set Realistic Goals. Start by setting achievable exercise goals that fit into your schedule and lifestyle. Whether it's taking a brisk walk during your lunch break, doing a quick home workout in the morning, or committing to a weekly fitness class, choose enjoyable activities that you can realistically sustain. Gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts as your fitness level improves.

  2. Find Activities You Enjoy. Make exercise enjoyable and fulfilling by exploring different types of physical activities to find what you like best. Finding activities you genuinely enjoy increases the likelihood that you'll stick with them long term. Try dancing, swimming, cycling, hiking, or playing a sport. Mix up your routine to keep things interesting and prevent boredom.

  3. Make It Social. When done with others, exercise can be more motivating and more fun than going it alone. Hit a pickleball court in your neighborhood or simply go for a walk with a friend or family member. An accountability partner can help you stay committed to your fitness goals by providing encouragement and support while keeping it social and fun!
